HCF and LCM


Important points to remember-

Prime number- Number that go in its own table and not in others table are called prime numbers.

Eg- 2, 3, 5…. etc

Composite number- Number that go in its own table and also in others table are called composite number.

Eg- 4, 6, 12….. etc

Co-prime number- Numbers which do not have any common divisor other than 1, are called
co-prime numbers

Eg- 25,29; 67,68

Twin Prime numbers- If the difference between 2 prime numbers is 2, then the two prime numbers are called twin prime numbers.

Important Points:-

1 is neither a prime number nor a composite number.

Smallest prime number- 2

Co-prime number do not have any common divisor other than 1.

There are 8 pairs of twin prime numbers from 1 to 100:

3,5; 5,7; 11,13; 17,19; 29,31; 41,43; 59,61; 71,73.
