Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a cleanliness campaign of the Government of India run by the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It was started on October 2, 2014, on the birth anniversary of Gandhiji, along with the beginning, its closing date was also fixed which is October 2, 2019, when 150 years of Gandhi's birth will be completed. Gandhiji was a clean lover and he had ever dreamed of a clean India. They knew how important cleanliness is in any person's life. If people had obeyed him then and put it into practice, then most of the money in the country today would not have been spent on the treatment of the sick.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is also known as Swachh Bharat Mission and Swachhta Abhiyan. It was officially launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 2, 2014, on the occasion of the 145th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, from Rajghat, New Delhi. This whole week is celebrated as Sanitation Week. Narendra Modi Ji started this mission to make the whole of India clean till the 150th birth anniversary of Gandhiji which will be completed in 2019. Until now, the figures in rural areas of India, which were limited to 40% in 2014, have increased to 98%. The main purpose of this scheme is to make people aware of cleanliness and make India clean, which was Mahatma Gandhi's dream and what better way to celebrate his birthday.

Under it, in March 2017, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched another sanitation initiative. They have banned chewing leaf, gutkha, and other tobacco products in all government offices of Uttar Pradesh. Regardless of the week, we must always keep in mind the cleanliness and our attitude will contribute to making the country clean.
